Project Face-Off

PROJECT FACEOFF: Blades Take to the Streets

Four members of the Saskatoon Blades traveled to Vancouver to learn more about the effects and consequences of substance abuse. This is their story from East Hastings.

The Saskatoon Blades & RCMP started “Project Face-off” in the 2004-2005 season, it is a partnership aimed at educating kids about the effects and consequences of substance abuse. Developed to show solidarity with the sport of hockey, education and police, Project Face-off signifies the RCMP and the Saskatoon Blades “facing off” against drugs. During the season, the participating Saskatoon Blades  will be joining members of the RCMP to educate grades 6-8 students in schools in Saskatoon and surrounding area.
