2nd Round - Thrower and Sutter

The Saskatoon Blades, in the 2nd round, have selected defenseman Dalton Thrower with their 30th overall selection and center Lukas Sutter with their 42nd overall selection (from Vancouver).

Thrower, a 6’0”, 170 pound blue liner was born in North Vancouver, BC on December 20th, 1993.

Dalton is a strong, aggressive, physical defenseman,” commented Blades Assistant GM Jarrod Brodsky. “He has strong puck skills and possesses good offensive upside in his game.”

Sutter, a 5’11’, 173 pound forward is from Lethbridge, AB and was born on October 4th, 1993 and is the son of former NHL player Rich Sutter.

“We feel that Lukas is a character kid who works extremely hard every shift,” said Brodsky. He is the type of player that is willing to pay the price game in and game out.”

The Saskatoon Blades are proud to welcome Dalton, Lukas, and their families to the organization.
