Utilized as a forum to deliver important safety messages, the Saskatoon Blades, the Saskatoon Police service and a proud corporate sponsor developed a partnership aimed at recognizing children who are part of their school’s safety patrol unit. Once a month in both Catholic and public elementary schools, beginning in October and continuing through the balance of the Blades hockey season, members of the Saskatoon Blades and the Saskatoon Police Department recognize the schools safety patrol unit as the “unit of the month”. As part of the recognition program, the safety patrollers receive a Saskatoon Blades home game ticket as well as a certificate of recognition from the Saskatoon Police Department.
